Costa Nicholas (born Constantine Nicholas Giannakopoulos) is an American actor who is of first generation Greek decent. Raised in Cape Cod, MA, Costa's first performance came senior year of High School in "Seussical the Musical" as various bit characters, but it was enough to light the fire. Costa began his acting training at Cape Cod Community College, and after a year, transfered to Salem State University where he would go on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance.
"My time at Salem State was very valuable because I had the opportunity to play a huge range of characters. Definitely some of the more memorable were Paul in Stephen Sondheim's Company, Juror #9 in 12 Angry Jurors (where I got to experience playing a man more than double my age and had to learn to carry the same life weight as he did), The Chaplain in Berthold Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, and Inspector Jacques Clouseau in The Pink Panther Strikes Again, which won me a nomination to compete at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival!"
After graduation Costa moved to New York City to hit the ground running in his pursuit of his acting career. Perseverance and hard work would begin to pay off as Costa landed his first Off Broadway role as Doc in Marry Fuck or Kill as well as a lead, Mike Peterson, in the Independent Feature Film The Backseat. Costa eventually took acting classes with Matthew Corozine at Matthew Corozine Studios at the Times Square Arts Center. As the Studio grew, it came time to change venues, and Costa would help Matthew by being his master carpenter and designer. In July of 2015, Costa built the new "Matthew Corozine Studio Theatre" on 36th street where Matthew continues to teach and expand today.
Throughout 2016, there had been a calling to Costa from the west. An itch that was acknowledge but unanswered. Then by fate, chance and amazing circumstances, Costa had the opportunity to go to L.A. for an agent/manager showcase. This trip is what would finally answer the call, and Costa knew that the time had come to make the move. So after a great 7 year run in New York City, Costa said goodbye to the big city and headed into the sunset. And on August 4th, 2017, Costa officially settled into L.A. to continue to grow his career and passion!
Aside from the acting life, Costa is also a musician with many years of guitar training, drums and classical voice training. Costa also studies Martial Arts and enjoys tumbling and stage/screen combat and stunts. In his down time you will likely find him in front of his xbox, nintendo or DVD player as a lover of movies and good stories.
When not cooped up inside, you will find Costa working on or riding his motorcycle, as that has become a very big passion and hobby of his as well!
Costa has also greatly enjoyed writing in the third person and quoting himself since its something he can't really do in everyday life.
